We’re looking for an experienced Head of Alliances & Channels who will develop and lead our channel team and programs. This role is responsible for bringing their strategic vision and innovative approach to build a multi-tier channel program. This person plays a key role in driving new and expansion revenue by building an ecosystem of partners and programs across large cloud technology providers as well as global and regional/specialized systems integrators that deliver value to our customers and to the company.

At data.world, you will:

  • Build and own the end-to-end channel GTM strategy including channel recruitment and partner readiness
  • Create a clear vision for the team and broader organization by building a precise, well-defined strategy and execution plan aligned to the fiscal year priorities and revenue growth targets
  • Hire, lead, and develop a team of Partner Account Managers
  • Expand channel sales strategy from the ground up; assess existing partner programs and develop new partner relationships - with the goal to drive net new revenue streams
  • Define the operational plan for the channels business inclusive of systems, processes, and people
  • Work closely across Marketing, Sales, and Product, and with the Executive team to drive a proactive cross-functional strategy and to advocate and influence for Partner needs
  • Recruit and grow strong partnership with cloud technology providers (e.g., AWS, Snowflake), global systems integrators (e.g., Deloitte, Accenture), and specialized/local SIs (MSPs, VARs and VADs)
  • Understand our partners’ businesses, and develop strategies and incentives to make them more profitable through our partnership
  • Develop sales and technical training materials and programs for channel partners, coordinate and conduct training programs for partners
  • Continually assess, clarify, and validate partner needs. Track, measure and report-out on channel effectiveness against targets, and adjust programs and strategies as necessary.

We’d love to see:

  • Demonstrated progressive channel leadership experience across a variety of partner types including large technology cloud providers, global systems integrators, and specialized/regional SIs
  • Proven experience building and managing channel programs in a high-growth SaaS company, specifically in the Data and Analytics or IT Infrastructure space
  • Experience recruiting, developing, and managing a high-performance channel sales organization
  • Demonstrable track record of success in channels strategic planning, owning and delivering on sales targets
  • Strong ability to influence and collaborate with C-level executives and team members
  • Record of recruiting, inspiring and enabling the success of top talent
  • Ability to understand new business models and grow a Channels organization from early stage onwards
  • Strong business acumen and ability to evaluation customer and market dynamics to identify growth and profit opportunities
